Human Centipede Review

HiHi!!

**Warning: Movie Spoilers Ahead**

In honor of Halloween, I really wanted to try and watch a bunch of horror films before the big day! Sadly, I got really busy with work and was therefore unable to do so;
however, on the final day of October, I decided that I was going to watch
AT LEAST one scary movie before the end of the month!
So, while browsing Netflicks,
I came across a number of classics and great looking movie posters,
but in the end, I chose to watch "The Human Centipede" movies.
.................(-___-)....................
This may have been one of my biggest mistakes EVER!
Now, the reason why I chose to watch THIS monstrosity was because of all the
reviews and things I had heard about the movie.
For one: I had heard that it was good... Ya, definitely not...!
However, I DID give it a chance.

"The Human Centipede" is about two girls visiting Germany.
On their first night, they get lost and somehow get lost in the woods on a rainy night.
So, these brilliant ladies decide to go WALKING in the
MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT to find some help.....
Uhm... ya, bout that....
Anyways, they happen upon the house of a creepy doctor who drugs them.
Next they wake, they're bound to operating tables in his basement completely naked.
After retrieving one more "patient," a random Japanese guy who yells a lot,
the doctor explains to them his plans:
To surgically link three humans together through mouth and anus in order to create
a human centipede.

So, the movie continues.
The operation is a success, and the audience witnesses the suffering of these poor people.
The sad thing was the fact that the doctor kept making me laugh...
Just the way he would react to some of the things his "pet" did,
or the fact that he seemed so overjoyed with his success.
I know, I'm crazy, but he just made me laugh, ok??

In the end, a couple of cops reach his home in the middle of the woods,
looking for some reported missing people.
The doctor drugs one, and eventually kills them both,
but one cop is able to shoot the doctor before going down himself.
Throughout this whole process, however,
the human centipede is slowly making progress at an escape.
One of the girls (the back end of the centipede) is sick because of the operation
and eventually dies before the movie's end.
The Japanese guy slits his own throat as a statement to the doctor,
"I'd rather die a human, than like this."
With the doctor, the idiot cops, and her companions all dead,
she is left alone.
And that's how the movie ends.

So, even though it wasn't the best movie,
I found it just a little interesting.
The doctor was a good comedy relief, and the science behind it all was intriguing-
is this really something a person is capable of??
Either way, after it was done I noticed that it wasn't really late
(only 2AM, no big deal).
So I figured, why don't I watch the second one???

 .............*lesigh*............
I seriously don't see WHY this movie exists!!!
It's just so disgusting!
At least in the first one I had the doctor to entertain me,
but in this one I just kept looking at the time, just waiting for the end to come!

"The Human Centipede 2" is a black and white movie set in London.
Sounds cool, right??????
At least, that's what I thought at first...
Anyways- the movie is centered around this mentally challenged man who lives with his mother.
For one thing, he is absolutely not attractive,
and although the director went out of his way to do so,
this guy is just plain CREEPY!!!
Every time he had a close up, I screamed inside.
(my roommate was sleeping)
So this guy, a huge fan of the first movie,
decides that he wants to make a 12man human centipede!
He starts killing and collecting people at his work, a car garage,
and disposing them in an empty warehouse.
And he has no mercy either:
He takes a pregnant lady and her husband, leaving their son crying in the car.

His ultimate goal, it seemed, was to get the original actress from the movie as a victim.
And he does,
and she plays the completely ditzy actress asking no questions as to
WHY he was leading her to a dirty old warehouse on a rainy day!
...but,you know, whatever...
Once she arrives, he begins his work.
His anesthesia was bashing their heads in, his bandaging was the duct tape,
and how did he connect them all??
Yep, scissors, staples and duct tape...
I was gagging like the whole scene that he "operated" on them.
And because nothing he did was sanitary, people were just dying.
Eventually it got it working,
but in the end all the people died from either sickness
or from bleeding after pulling themselves apart.
The leading lady, the actress, fought back by force-feeding the guy his pet centipede.
Of course, this was after the pregnant lady, whom we all assumed was dead,
runs out of the warehouse in the midst of labor.
She runs out into the rain, gets in a car,
THE BABY IS BORN ON THE CAR FLOOR
BUT SHE DON'T CARE!!
KUZ SHE JUST PUTS HER FOOT DOWN THE PEDAL CRUSHING ITS HEAD
AND SPLATTERING BLOOD ALL OVER THE CAMERA!!!!
........................
Jeezus, that whole scene I was just like:
"Wait. WTF is happe- O GAWD, WHAT!?!?!?!"
........................
After ALL THIS CRAP HAPPENS,
the guy wakes up...
Turns out, he was just dreaming the whole thing.

.........So, ya..........
That is four hours of my life I will NEVER get back!
I can't remember who told me it was a good movie,
but I need to go punch them, or something for having put me through that!!
Ok, I'm going to go watch some Disney movies, or Poke'mon,
OR SOMETHING HAPPY TO GET THIS STUFF OUT OF MY HEAD!
((Hopefully, next year the horror movie genre will be able to redeem itself.))

This is Halloween

HiHi!!

Halloween Day, and I still have to go to school...
But one of my favorite things about being in college,
is seeing all the adults dressed up!!
I mean, we're all about the same age,
but it's nice to see people who can laugh at themselves!!
Even though we're "adults,"
doesn't mean our Inner Child is gone!

The first person I saw in costume: Superman!
Poor guy, his bike had broken down...
Guess he won't be saving Lois Lane today...!

Walked by THIS while heading to class!!
If I hadn't been running late, I SO would have played a few rounds!!
Bravo UNT for having Carnival Games on Halloween!!
(>u<)

And not JUST Carnival Games,
Cotton Candy too!
And all for FREE!!

All of the school groups are always getting into the events!
I got so much candy while trying to get to class!

Hehe, my shadow...
Wonder what I am for Halloween??

You know that there always has to be a V on Halloween!

My friend, Wil, trying on my Kigurumi in Movement!
Haha, he's a bit taller than me,
so it looked great on him!
"Willy-The-Pooh-Bear"
(^-^)

I have this thing when I get dressed up:
I have to take a picture!
We're all a bit narcissistic! Leave me alone!
(>u<)

Just showing my love to my Hundred Acre Wood pals!
Pooh Bear, Pooh Bear, && Eeyore!!

Family & Friends back home getting ready for a night of
Trick or Treating!!

I miss them all so much!
I really wish I could be there!!!
(>.<)

Haha, they were "Chollas" for Halloween!

Nico being all Ninja
& my Nicky being Sub-Zero!
(He didn't even know)

& my little Cora walking around as an
Adorable Pink Dinosaur!!

Well, I hope you all had a GREAT Halloween Night
full of Treats and Fear!

日本に行きましょう!! (Parts 3&4)

HiHi!!

Here are videos 3 & 4 of my Japanese Journeys!!

In this video, we complete our first day in Japan!
We travel through Asakusa and Yoyogi,
visiting Sensou-ji and other shrines.
We ALSO have our first Adventure!!!
...My friends and I make an ATTEMPT at translating a menu that is all Kanji...
(o.o)

This next video consists of our 2nd day in Japan.
We have a Calligraphy day, which was tons of fun,
and my friend led our 1st field trip to Kabuki!!!
The performance was beautiful and so amazing! Also, there were a TON of Middle School girls...
We end this rainy day by moving into a new room... Just for the night.
But it was totally worth it...
If you can't tell from the video, we were pretty excited about sleeping in a Tatami styled room!!
(^-^)

MEK Halloween Matsuri 2012

 HiHi!!

So, last year, my roommate (Kim) & I
went to the MuEpsilonKappa's Annual Halloween Matsuri.
We had a lot of fun, so I figured, why not go again??
Sadly, Kim wasn't able to go,
but I was able to convince Stephanie and Stacy to come!
We were all hungry before the event,
so I decided that we should eat at Subway,
just so that I could bother the guys working that night! (^-^)
They were kinda surprised to see me in my Pooh Bear Kigurumi!

Saw this Adorable Little Guy!!
The Halloween Matsuri was lots of fun again!
I got a bunch of candy, and I sang karaoke!
But my favorite part was catching up with my friends.
I haven't seen Stacy in forever,
& some of my other friends from my old Japanese class were there!

Besides all of my candy,
I also won this adorable Mameshiba!!
He was worth only 100coins, so I'm surprised no one had gotten him!

I was so excited to finally have a reason to where my Kigurumi!!
It was a little chilly outside, so I felt all nice and warm wearing it!
I wore if for the rest of the night, it's just so comfy!

日本に行きましょう!!(Parts 1&2)

Hi, hi!!

So, I've been wanting to do Youtube videos ever since I made my account,
And now I have a reason to!
Like I promised, I decided to turn my Japan experience into Youtube videos!!
I have NO idea how many videos the trip will cover,
but I'm going to keep putting them together all the way up until the final day!

Remember: I took over 1,000 pictures and videos while in Japan!
So, it may take a little while to get them done!
But I'm trying my very best!!

These are all the same pictures on my Facebook,
but all the videos are brand new!!
The music is KyariPamyuPamyu BECAUSE while in Japan,
I bought a CD of hers so I felt obligated to use its music!!

She's Beyond Good And Evil

HiHi!!

The second production this semester was
a play written and directed by students:

"SHE'S BEYOND GOOD AND EVIL: A SERIES OF PLAYS BASED ON THE MUSIC OF ST. VINCENT"

I couldn't help but think how amazing it was to hear
that Lauren's show was going to be performed!
I was so happy for her!
I was quite excited to see the production,
and I've got to say,
it definitely lived past my expectations!!
I was drawn in from the beginning,
and when it ended,
I wanted more!
The Cast & Crew
Not too long after the first showing,
there was news that the show had been picked up at a Theatre in Houston!
How amazing!!
I just can't stop thinking how great Lauren must be feeling;
being able to see her work on stage!

It's times like these I start feeling energized about my own future!
I would just love to already be working and fulfilling my own dreams!!
GAH!
I don't want to be patient, future!!

Nothing but Busy...

HiHi!!

Well, that title pretty much sums up my life since school started.... (-_-)

I was originally signed up for 18credit hours at school, but I eventually dropped a class because of work. Because of my crazy schedule, I've only been closing the store, basically every night... It started getting really hard to get my homework done, or any sleep, so I had no choice but to drop to 15hours.

This semester, I'm taking Intermediate Japanese, Movement I, Voice I, Stagecraft, and Theatre History. I've also started with the UNT Japanese Club as well as being a conversation partner with UNT's Intensive English Language Institute (IELI). I'm so busy every single day, but I'm loving every minute of it!!

As an aspiring Voice Actress, my Voice class has become my absolute favorite class, along with Movement! I'm learning so much, and it's great to be improving on my craft. As for my other classes; I thought I would be scared working in the shop, but when I finally got to use the saws I was so pumped!  It helps that I love the smell of wood... And my Theatre History class is so intriguing!

But my favorite part about this semester: being a part of the Theatre Department! With having only Theatre classes, I've been able to make a lot of friends! And seeing as how this is my major, I am so happy! Not only that, everyone is so freaking cool! There are just so many great and talented people in the UNT Theatre Department, I look forward to going to class!!

Now, Japanese is a whole different story... The course this summer passed so quickly, it had no chance to stick in my brain... So, these past few months have been a lot of catch up for me...

All-in-all, I've had a pretty hectic, yet exciting semester so far! But I still spend every free moment in my room watching shows or napping... (~.~)

New Glasses!

HiHi!!

Ok, I KNOW that I've been THINKING of wanting to get a new pair of glasses.
I was tired of my glasses, I mean, I'd had them for more than 2years now!
Well... I guess the gods must of been listening, because I now have a new pair!

A couple weeks ago, while at work, my glasses had this very random & epic death...
I mean, they just kind of DIED in my hands.
...It was pretty depressing...

So! I went the following day to talk to the Optical Examiners on-campus,
and boy were they amazingly helpful!
By the end of the week, I had an appointment!
I had to have all the tests done in order to get a new prescription,& it was lots of fun!
But then again, I'm one of those strange people that love visiting doctors...
Found out that my left eye is stronger than my right,
but ONLY when corrected... Otherwise, my right eye is the better one???
Uhm... Or something like that....

I got my eyes dilated!!
Sure the sun gave me a bit of a headache, but I thought it was so cool...

Then, FINALLY, after having to go 2weeks without glasses, they came in!!
The frames are a bit bigger and more circular than my other ones,
but I love their aqua color!
As soon as I walked into the office, these glasses caught my eye,
so I'm really happy I was able to get them!

Spotify

HiHi!!

I just wanted to let everyone in on my newest obsession:
SPOTIFY
My friend, Carolyn, asked us in DATP to get one,
& I thought, "Why not...?"
But this is what happened:

And I can listen to every one of these songs
over & over again....
&&&& I can pick the movie/scene nearly every time!!

I'm addicted, leave me alone!

Cinderella

HiHi!!

UNT's first show of the Fall Semester: Cinderella!!

Ok, now Cinderella is actually my least favorite Disney princess, but I still love the story! (I even wore my Little Mermaid shirt to the show >v<) Actually, every remake I've seen of Cinderella is amazing! So I was pretty excited to see this performance.
I went to a morning performance, only because every other show was SOLD OUT. Surprisingly, there were a lot of little girls with their parents, all dressed up and being adorable.

Although some of the graphics were a bit corny, play itself was hilarious, and I was laughing the whole time! The actors were great, and dancing was fantastic! I enjoyed myself, and even if it was promoted as "A Play for Young People," it was the college students that seemed to enjoy it the most!

秋まつり

HiHi!!

Today was Dallas' anuual Aki Matsuri!!
(Fall Festival)
This was the first time that I had ever gone, and I had such a great time! There were so many great people, such great food, lots of games and entertainment, and tons of adorable Shiba-Inus!!

桜もち!
This was my Sakura Mochi that was so yummy!
It's wrapped in the Sakura Leaf, and is a great Fall treat!
昼ご飯:狐うどん
This was my lunch: some very delicious Kitsune Udon!
This made me really miss Japanese food!
(>.<)

There weren't many, but this was one of the cosplayers we met today!
Besides Inuyasha, we also saw a Huruhi Suzumiya, and Mio & Yui from K-On!

The Baylor Students had a booth where you could play Janken with them!
This is my friend, Stephanie, playing with our friend, Kenta!
We met Kenta while in Japan, & right now he's studying at Baylor,
so it was really great to see him this weekend!
(She said she really wanted to play, just so that she could hit him with a paper fan...!)

Saw some Okinawan Traditional Drummers Perform
>>The music really made me think of Naruto.... (>.<) <<

Then there was some Japanese Traditional Dance

And then our friends from Baylor performed Soran Bushi!!!

They're did such a great job!
The crowd cheered throughout the whole performance!!

UNT's Japanese Culture Organization (JCO) is also supposed to perform Soran Bushi!
I'm so excited to start learning now!!
Maybe I can get Kenta to help me learn the dance????

Finding Nemo 3D!

HiHi!!

I went to see Finding Nemo in 3D!!

I love that although I hadn't seen it in forever, I still knew every word...
Nemo may not be one of my favorite Pixar films, but it's still such an amazing movie!
I still get choked up at the very end when Nemo returns to say he loves his dad.
And while I was watching it, I remembered the last time I had seen it in theaters:
I was in 5th grade!
And I remember how everyone kept reciting the infamous "E-Scape'!" line!!
Wow, I make it sound like I'm so old, haha!
But, overall, it was great to see it in theaters again!
It was cute, it was great, but I still don't like 3D movies much... (-_-)

Phone Cases

HiHi!!

This summer I finally got my upgrade & entered the 21st century & decided to buy an iPhone4!!
In Japan, I was able to buy a really cute case with K-On's Azunyan & Yui,
so I was really excited to get my new phone!
However, because I'm freaking clumsy with my phone,
I decided that it would be best to buy a case that was a bit more protective...

I ended up buying 2...
The first one was this freaking adorable dinosaur turtle... thing that I just could NOT resist!
And the second one was a little red penguin that was calling my name!

Summer Overview

HiHi!!

It was pretty crazy, and that's really the only way I can describe it!!!

Right after school got out at the end of May, for about a month, I was at UNT taking Japanese II. I moved into an apartment with Kim, her mom, and Nate... & that was... interesting...? Let's just say, the end of Maymester couldn't have come soon enough...
June 5th, my class met for our Final exam and sushi, then I was off to Dallas to prepare for departure!! On June 6th, I was on a plane with my friend, heading out to Narita International Airport!!! From the 6th to the 29th, I was in Japan, and... Wow... It was AMAZING!!! The, having to take classes and exams and stuff pretty much sucked, but actually BEING in Japan, was great! Now, I won't go into much detail, because I'm planning on making some youtube videos with all of my pictures and videos, so stay tuned!!

After Japan, I returned home. In SanAntonio, I spent about 2weeks "relaxing." And by that, I mean, cleaning the house and making it "Grandma Proof" for their visit. July 11th was my niece, Coraline's 1st Birthday, so, naturally, we had a huge party in celebration! Then after having 2separate birthday parties, we drove up to Dallas to celebrate my uncle's 50th birthday! This weekend was crazy: seeing a bunch of family members, lots of driving, and lots of cake! Then, on that following Monday, I left for California with my Dad for 2weeks.

While in California, I got to catch up on my NCIS series, got my new Build-A-Bear, && went to Disneyland for 2days! I flew back to SanAntonio August 1st, but the next day was on another plane with my mom and brother heading out to Florida!! We were headed to Disney World...

This summer marks my 4th visit to Disney World, & I still love it!! Our party included: my mom, little brother, Nicky; his best friend, Nico, and Nico's family (mom, sister, brother)... It was pretty crazy... I was the tour guide, and I did my best to give everyone what they wanted, but by the end of the weekend, I was about ready to strangle some of them... Nevertheless, I had a fun time! And after visiting all of the parks, we returned to SanAntonio, and I was finally able to have some relaxation time! That is, until the following weekend, when I attended SanJapan Mach 5!!

It was a lot of fun! I stayed at the hotel with my friends, the Harkiewiczes!! It was nice to see all of my friends, and all of the panels were great! This was definitely the most relaxing weekend of my summer!

And about a week later, I was on the road again headed back to Dallas! I moved into my Dorm on the 25th of August, back to work at Subway on the 26th, and school started on the 29th...

So, there you have it!! This summer, I was a world traveller!! From Denton, to Dallas, to Japan (and all over the island), home to SanAntonio,  back to Dallas, then to California, on to Florida, returning to San Antonio -again-, then BACK to Dallas, and to school in Denton....
Lots of fun, craziness, and pictures!!! Can't wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for me!!

What Happened To The Summer??? O.o

HiHi!!

 .....Seriously.... What Happened!?!?!

I guess I must have been SO BUSY that everything just flew by so quickly!! It's crazy to think that I'll be back at school next week! But, you know, I'm happy that I'll finally have time to myself. From traveling abroad, to celebrating back-to-back birthdays, flying across the country, and Anime conventions... Let's just say I have had quite an adventurous summer...!
Now that I FINALLY have free time, I'm gonna have to catch up on events from this summer!
Till Then!
