Life on Loan...

Last year when I was at my lowest point, financially, my mother introduced me to these things called "PayDay Loans." Not always the best idea, forever putting yourself in debt, but it certainly helps. Every few weeks when picking up shifts just isn't enough, these PayDay Loans save me. I've managed to get my bills straight because of them, but it turns itself into a vicious cycle.
And although it's nice knowing that I don't have to stress and worry when Rent comes around every month (even if I don't have enough money, I know I'll be ok), I can't wait till I don't have to use them as a crutch. *shrugs*
So! Here's to a -hopefully- slightly less stressful yeah right next few months!

Sick Days...

I've been at Disney for more than 2months now!
I work almost everyday, and when I'm not working I try to relax and maybe watch shows and movies.  Before I had zero dollars to my name every week I would usually spend a day off at one of the parks... Sadly, with bills and old debts needing to be paid off, I have no moneys practically ever! (>x<;) SO, I've been spending every day off inside, in my apartment, where I'm not tempted to spend money that I don't have, haha.
I've gotten accustomed to my simple daily routine: chill and hang out, maybe clean, then drive off to work in the afternoon. Work for 8hrs, then it's back home for bed. These past two weeks, however, have been a little different. Why? Because I've been SICK!! It's been the most annoying thing!
Now, Lisette never gets sick, and when I do, it's only for a few days. I'll feel like total crap one day, but I'd be done with it real quick, no problem! This time around, I've been sick for 2 WEEKS! At first it was just a cough, then I had headaches and a fever... I would be freezing under all my layers and blankets even though my body was so warm... Sometimes I would feel lightheaded and dizzy- eventually, I looked it all up and realized I had a stupid fucking COLD. Just in its strongest form. For the 1st week I was surviving on water, tea with honey, and few hours of sleep due to nighttime coughing fits. But the best part?? I still had to work..! Of course, it was my choice to not call-in, but I needed the money!! And, of course, during the time of me being sick, I'm working 10/12hours everyday! ( ; _ ; ) Just a few days ago I got the worst symptom: my hearing has gone wonky. Basically, my left ear has been like it has water in it (technically excess air) and there's nothing I can do about it... I can hear, just not as well as I should...
So that's been me these past couple weeks... Just dealing with life, struggling through the dumbest thing ever: BEING SICK. It's been so fucking annoying... I don't know how people do this on a normal basis... On the bright side, I don't feel as awful as I did, so hopefully that means it's almost passed. I also learned how to make homemade chicken soup from scratch, so that's cool..! (-u-)

Throwback Thursday...

I realized that I have a lot of incomplete posts from last summer, many that I would love to complete! SO, I decided to go ahead and complete and post them on Thursdays as a sort of Throwback! That way I can still post the stories as well as keep myself disciplined in making sure I am posting AT LEAST once a week! (^-^)
And for a quick update, since I haven't posted much recently: I've been super busy and will soon have plenty to post about! On top of Graduation and Disney College (vlog being renamed to Pooh's Corner), my Movement II class has been AMAZING! We had field trips to the circus and to a pole dancing class, and so much more! My sister is having her baby THIS weekend, &&& I no longer work at Subway! So, ya, plenty to post and catch-up on, so stay tuned! (^-^)

1st World Problems

Although it's awful to think of how true that hashtag is, it's also hilariously sad, and literally my life these past few months.... (-.\)
I had originally planned (as always) to keep up with my blogging once summer was over. I even had specific topics ready for me to post about; however, it just so happened that my life become chock-full of "1st World Problems."
A lot of the problems, even though they seem ridiculously childish on the surface, turned out to just create stress all over my life. The first problem that arose: Financial Aid. Yes, my mother completed everything only 2weeks before school starting, BUT I should have it by now! So why don't I?? Because the government, and whoever runs the Federal Financial Aid Department, decided that they just had to select me out of the thousands of students at my school to go through an extra "verification process!" Apparently, it's a process that 1/3 students are selected for, and I just happened to be the lucky winner! So, basically, I get to wait double the amount of time to recieve absolutely any financial aid from my school. But, don't worry, American Government, I totally don't mind having Zero Dollars to my name every single day, living paycheck to paycheck, asking family members to borrow thousands of dollars to pay off school, begging my apartment complex for extensions, or even having to donate plasma twice a-week just so I can buy toilet paper and cat food. Nope. Absolutely no problem... I'm just fortunate enough to work at Subway- at least I know what I'll be having for breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday! #1stWorldProblems
The next biggest issue that came to be since school started was my apartment having NO INTERNET. You never realize how much you love something till it's gone, and that is definitely what happened after I moved into my apartment! Inorder to get internet, we had to purchase an ethernet cable and connect directly to the wall (which is really dumb given technology these days, honestly!) and, obviously, I didn't have the money to do so! After my 1st paycheck- I got one! Too bad my poor Macbook, being as old as it is, absolutely refused to connect! I was so depressed! The only times I could use the internet was when I was either at work or on-campus and once I was on, I was glued to my phone. It's sad, but I'm actually not super surprised with how badly addicted I am to the internet. Actually, it's more that I'm addicted to Social Media and NETFLIX, to be honest. And so, this problem was not remedied until I had been moved in for a month and a half when I found a Wi-Fi Reciever for cheap! Apparently, my computer only likes to connect to Wi-Fi Internet, so now I can be connected to the world!! Ok, it sounds ridiculous, but it wasn't just that I couldn't Tweet for a little over a month, because I had no internet, I also couldn't do my homework or check my emails! In today's society, where schools and teachers are all about technology and online communications, a student must be able to have internet access at all times! It's sad, but true! During this time when I had no connection to the internet world, I would stay after at work till 3-4AM just doing internet, and STILL have to get up for classes in the morning... It really sucked... #1stWorldProblems
Now add all that up along with work almost everyday &&& 19credit hours at school- you can see why I've been a bit out of touch and extremely stressed out! Since returning to Denton, life has been extremely difficult, which really sucks since it's my Senior Year... But thankfully, things are slowly starting to get better. Since these are all 1st World Problems, I know that I can get through this, and that's what keeps me going. As long as I keep smiling and doing my best, all the pieces will fall into place... eventually! (^-^) #JustKeepSwimming

Find What You Love...

A couple weekends ago was San Japan. I had a great time hanging with my friends and getting to see a bunch of new guests, but I also had a lot of time to think. Firstly, one of the guests was Team FourStar, the creators of Dragonball Z Abridged, and so many other parodies. I'm not gonna lie: before they joined the guest list for San Japan, I had no idea who they were. I knew that DBZ Abridged existed, I just never actually watched their stuff (no offense); however, they made for great brains for me to pick. A number of the Team FourStar group began their Voice Acting careers online auditioning in forums and putting their voices to a number of fandubs. And look at them now!
Another guest, and personal favorite to make conversations with, was Chris Ayres. I always enjoy his panels and listening to him talk, and I always take away some fantastic new advice, this year especially. He told the panel something that I have been contemplating ever since: "Find what you love and figure out how to make money with it." Haha, I just knew that it was perfect.
So, what are just some things that I love? Acting, Anime, Reading, Drawing, Television, Singing, Disney, Photography, Japanese Culture, Travel, and so much more! The next task for me was to find a way to put it all together. Obviously, if I wanted to make money with acting, I would have to (uh-doi) start auditioning! I have to work on myself and try stepping out of the box, become better at auditioning and stop being so judgmental about myself and my abilities! Of course, Acting would definitely work well with the world of Television and Anime; after all, I became a Theatre Major so that I could Voice Act, right?? Basically, everything that I love can work together, and if I was able to spend the rest of my life doing all of those things, I could die the happiest person on Earth.
Everything really came into perspective just the other day when I was editing an "About Me" section on my FUNimation Profile. I was trying to figure out just how could I sum up, me?? After a lot of thinking, here's what I came up with:

Senior in College, Majoring in Theatre with a Minor in Japanese.
Current Shows: Detective Conan, Attack on Titan, Fairytail
Dreams for the Future: Graduate, Disney College, VA in a CLAMP series and a Ghibli Production, work with Emma Watson, publish my FanFiction, Poke'mon: Princess Debut, & travel the world!

And after I read that over a couple times I realized how perfect it was! Yes, this exactly sums up who I am and who I would like to become. The only thing I would like to add (because I totally just thought of it) would be: "Produce a Disney Cover Album." There, now it's perfect.
I've realized that my brain has tried jumping all over the place trying to figure out just what I want to do with my life, but honestly, this is it. Now that I'll be moving into an apartment, I'll be able to have my own space (finally). I want to start auditioning online again, getting my voice out there. I want to try to audition for as many things as I can around the DFW area. I want to take as many workshops and/or acting classes that are available to me. I want to become a stronger performer, and once that happens, everything will fall into place. I know it's going to be immensely difficult, especially with school and work, but I'll manage. Just like my mom tells me, "You always seem to say you'll do something, and no matter what, you find a way to make it happen." Well, now I've said it, so that means I have to go out there and make my dreams come true.

Find Your Why...

I really should never say that I'm actually going to keep up with this blog, because I honestly never do... When I was younger, I had so many diaries, too, but I never actually used them- I would always just forget. But I suppose a blog is just like anything you do in your life: if you want to stay consistent, you have know your "why."
Why do I want to blog? What even is the point?? Now, I know I've actually posted something about this before, and I'm not too sure whether my mind has changed much. One major reason definitely has to do with the fact that I'm a packrat- I love reminiscing about happy memories, finding nostalgic treasures in the back of my closet, and pictures and blog posts (at least to me) are basically the same thing. Sure, some of these posts are dumb slice-of-life bits and others are just my own personal ramblings, but so what??
Another reason, I suppose, would have to be my inner performer calling out for attention. Yes, I'm a Theatre Major- I want to become a big-time Voice Actor and, yes, I will admit, I would absolutely LOVE, love, loooove to be in a film! Ok, I've said it!! I'm much more shy than most people think, and sure I talk a lot, but I really do get nervous easily. These past few years, I have absolutely loved watching my fellow Theatre Majors stepping on-stage and into the spotlight, they always look so beautiful, radiant, and confident! I feel so happy for them because I wish I were them. I hear it all the time from my friends that they think that I, Lisette Monique Diaz, is so outspoken and confident, and so easy to talk to people, but really I'm not at all like that. But I want to be like that.
I've realized several time over these past few years that I want to be more confident with myself and my abilities, I want to be able to stand on stage, or in front of a mic without wanting to shy away from the crowd. I've gotten better, I know that, but I want to be more.
Maybe it's because I'm about to start my Senior Year in College and I'm getting immensely nervous about where I'm headed, or maybe it's just another summer revelation, who knows..? But what I do know is that I really have to dig deep and start working. I'm always telling people that if they want something bad enough, they have to put in the work for it- and I fully believe in that, but maybe it's time that I actually started to show it, too. I have so many dreams that I want to make real, so maybe it's about time I started making them happen.

Update...

Well, it's nearly the end of January and the last actual post I made was, what, around Halloween time?? Wow, it's been a while. I guess a quick update is in order??
First off- I actually DID complete my 31days of Halloween Horror Movie Challenge, I just never found the time to complete my posts! Who knows? Maybe I'll finish them sometime... The last major series I watched was the Ju-On & Grudge movies, which, by the way, were absolutely TERRIFYING! And then I completed the challenge by watching other movies like, Hocus Pocus and The Nightmare Before Christmas! On actual Halloween Day I dressed up, as Pooh Bear of course, went to class, hung out with friends, then returned to my room where I took a a fantastic 5hour nap!
Throughout the month of November I mostly killed myself by working my Herbalife products, working the business a bit, jumping through hoops to find a ride home, and getting ready for finals. It was a very, VERY hectic month, but everything worked out. As for my Herbalife (which will have a more in-depth post very soon), I haven't jumped levels to Supervisor yet, buuuuut, I've had amazing results! In less than 2months, I lost nearly 15lbs &&&& over 30inches off my entire body!!! I couldn't believe it!! Actually, I didn't believe it until I saw a before & after picture of myself! It's so crazy how amazing I feel everyday & after seeing these major results, I plan to kill it before Spring Break hits!!
Finally, we had reached the end of the year and everything was happening all at once! Finals came and went, and I did fine. I was immensely overly-stressed with life, so I honestly went into every exam with a "FUUUUUUUU-" attitude. (Totally serious, by the way). Then I returned home, where stress-levels continued to be stretched to the limit! Let's see, I got home on the 17th, and my Grandparents arrived on the 21st. Translation, everyday leading up to the 21st was spent cleaning the house and attempting to keep the peace within the household. Don't get me wrong- I absolutely love my family, and I would never trade any of them, but family is family, and that's all I have to say on the matter... And so the holidays were among us: I spent most of my time split into spending time with Grandma (she refused to leave the house, ever), running errands with Grandpa (he always wanted company for trips to the store, yay, me...), playing games with Nicky (he ended up grounding himself just before the holiday break due to grades, so this was a bit difficult), babysitting every now-and-then, and finally getting to see all of my best friends. I also spent everyday doing my best to "eat clean & healthy," but failed epically. Christmas was a ton of fun, and so was New Years, but the best was my birthday! This year (last year) I turned 21, a very special number. For more than a week all I was basically allowed to drink was alcoholic beverages! It was horrible!! Haha, but I had a great time with everyone. I'll have to make a more detailed post about my birthday later.
Before we knew it, it was the new year! On the 1st, I hung out with friends, and on the 2nd I was on a plane to California! Honestly, my days in California are usually my most relaxing of any holiday, mainly because I'm usually just lazying about in my pajamas all day, playing video games, or just hanging out with my dad! They hardly ever make me actually DO anything, which makes for a great break for me since I am always on-the-go! The night I landed I was surprised with my new car: a cute bright blue Nissan Versa Note! She's a 2014 & her name's Ariel (teehee). I love her, and it is so great to have a car again! Now I'm not just stuck! Anyway, I worked a couple days with Jenny, and about a week later, Dad & I were road tripping back to Texas! We drove Ariel from Chino, California to El Paso in one day; the next morning we stopped into Odessa to visit our newest family member, Emma, who was barely a week old; and then made our way home to San Antonio! We had one day of break, then early (like, 4AM early) we were on the road again. I dropped Dad off at the Austin airport, and made the rest of the return trip to Denton alone. It was strange because there was no traffic and the sun had risen and I was already at the school. So, let's just say, Ariel got herself a good workout!
And here we are, a week ago school started and I decided to jump headfirst into Fit Camps (bad idea). I'm helping with at NTXNutrition now and with Fit Camps every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I'm only taking 15hours this semester, but Crackin' Up meetings should be starting soon, so that'll be taking up time, along with my Herbalife. Besides all of this, some very interesting events have arisen... Hint, hint: I will be kinda going on my first ever "date" tomorrow afternoon...! (O_O)
I don't know what I'm exactly supposed to be feeling about everything right now, but I guess I'll have more to post about tomorrow???? Till then!

Sincerely Yours,
Lisette Monique Diaz

Blog Title...

As mentioned the last time I redid my blog, I feel like anytime I tweak it, I stick to blogging for some time; however, the name I changed it to in itself makes me want to keep up with my posts.
Allow me to explain: when I first came to blog, it was just another thing I decided to try, like Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr- you know, just another social media of sorts. The next time, when I redid my whole blog, I changed its name: "And on Towards the Sky." This saying comes from one of my absolute favorite shows, Kaleido Star, as I explained when I redid the page. (I even did a whole couple posts about the show). The second time I redid my blog, I kept the name, changed the layout & began to treat it like a diary, except, like every diary I've ever owned, I hardly ever wrote in it. THIS TIME: I tweaked the page &&& changed the title: "No Day But Today." I've really wanted to change the title for a while, hence the few months of it being "Sweet Dreams," but I could never think of a perfect blog title- a title that was very ME. I kept thinking about some of my favorite words & things: Dreams, Disney, Otaku, Anime, Daydreamer, etc... I just couldn't get it! Last night, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I was spending time with my cousins in Dallas. We were watching RENT, a wonderful & beautiful musical, I hadn't seen it before (even though I actually OWN it), but I loved it! Or rather, I loved what I saw, seeing as how I fell asleep halfway through it (- -;).  But I woke up the last 30 or so minutes, just as they kicked off, "No Day But Today," and suddenly, it clicked! That was my new blog title!!
I realized that I've always been the type of person to rush into things, that I'm always, ALWAYS, thinking forward towards my future, which is great, but not always the best game-plan. All last year I had to keep telling myself that I had to learn to live for every day & for every moment. I doubt I will ever be able to completely change myself, being the forward thinker I am, but if I only keep my eyes facing one direction, I'll just continue to miss so much. And so, this year, I plan to actually LIVE. I don't want to forget anything. I want to be able to have moments everyday: the good, the bad, and the great; I want them all. I'm only 21, but after living through family members with Dementia and Alzheimer's, at the same time having so many babies joining the family, as well as realizing just how close I am to graduating college!! I plan to live for No Day But Today, and by doing so, I'll have so many moments I won't be able to keep up with my posts! But, I'll give it a try! (^-^)
Well, I guess I'm doing good so far- 2posts within a week's time, yay! I plan to keep the Diary/Letter format, since that's what I'm most familiar with (teehee). I don't know exactly WHO I'm "writing" to, since I have like ?4? followers- maybe just to a future me?? Anywhoos, till next time!

Sincerely Yours,
Lisette Monique Diaz
