12 Days of Vlogmas! ~Shopping Haul!

As a way to get myself into Vlogging, I decided to put together a 12 Days of Vlogmas!!
I love Christmas and everything about it! My favorite part about Christmas is watching my friends and family's reactions to opening up a gift I gave them. It just warms my heart. Of course, there's nothing wrong with spoiling yourself along the wayyyy..!
So! Continuing on with Day 1, here's my "Shopping Haul" from my Disney Springs Christmas Shopping Adventure!

Christmas Shopping at Disney Springs **VLOGMAS 2017**

Ok, I know it's super late, but here's my 1st Vlogmas Video!!! I took all the videos and photos throughout the holidays but never had the time to put it all together! Since I'm off the next couple days I figured I would finally get down to business!

Another Kind of Magic...

Today I had my first day of Orientation for Universal Orlando!

It’s definitely strange having to wake up early and actually being around people for 8+ hours out of my day, haha, but I guess I’ll just have to readjust to it…! #IntrovertProblems (-u-)
Of course, since it was only the first day, we had to cover all of the basics. We did the usual new hire paperwork, payroll, benefits, taxes & all that good stuff. And don’t forget about learning about Safety! Surprisingly, this whole section, though, was a lot of fun! Rather than sitting in front of a computer reading about hazardous chemicals, or playing games about safety awareness, Universal took it to a whole new level. They mashed up a bunch of clips from their movies like The Mummy or The Nutty Professor, and re-dubbed the characters to say all this random safety information. What made it great, though, was the fact that Universal was able to make fun of themselves. They know that learning Safety Critical information is boring, so why not make it fun and entertaining?? And so, with the help of the Mighty Safety Man! we covered a whole 45minutes “Safety Begins With You” lecture without ever being bored.
The best part of today was definitely getting to walk back-stage. We only took a trip to the Backlot Bistro for lunch, but I couldn’t help but stare with amazement at all the witches and wizards passing me by! And did I mention we got to walk under the Hogwarts Express??? I was having so many Fangirl Moments- it was great! It’s too bad we’re not allowed any photos, I wish people could see all of the amazing things I get to witness on a daily basis..!
Another big part of today, I thought, was differentiating between the cultures of being a Disney Cast Member and a Universal Studios Team Member. Now, if I didn’t love both companies and theme parks EQUALLY I wouldn’t be working there. I even said it during my interview- I have to be in a work environment that I enjoy..! And I really do! Yes, you’re working for the busiest theme parks in the world & you have to deal with crazy/ incompetent/ rude guests quite often &&& the weather can be grueling in Florida &&&&&& sometimes the pay and/ or hours just plain suck- but so what??? Personally, the Magical Moments are what make it all worth it. Whether it’s having a wonderful experience with a guest or getting to learn about the wonderful things happening back-stage and within the company before anyone else- I absolutely have loved “working for the mouse,” and I’m certain I’m going to love working for Universal as well..!
As for learning to differentiate between the two- I’m sure more will come to light once I actually start working for Universal, but here’s some of what I’ve noticed.

Favorite Things About Working for Disney:
Free entry into all 4Major Theme Parks plus 3Water Parks as well as Guest Resorts.
FREE PARKING
Great Cast Member Discounts on Merch as well as Full Service Restaurants.
9/10 You get to interact with some of the coolest/ nicest Cast Members in the World.
Most of the Managers I know are very helpful and great to their Cast Members.
Parties in the Tunnel!
And Disney gives us Free Food a lot, haha! At least for Fantasyland Attractions!
Peer Recognition! (It’s great when you get it, but really sad when you KNOW you’re a fanfuckingtastic worker, but no one actually recognizes you…!)
That warm fuzzy feeling when you get to make a family vacation even more magical
Being with my people!! WE ALL LOVE DISNEY & RANDOMLY BREAK OUT INTO SONG & DANCE!
It’s Disney!! ‘Nuf Said!!!
What I Greatly Dislike About Working for Disney:
Block-Out Dates for Cast Members!! (>_<)
Having to pay extra for the Hard Ticketed Events..!
The company is so large there’s often miscommunication between departments.
Sometimes I feel that Disney can be a bit too-faced (sorry! I still love you!)
Favorite Things About Working for Universal (so far):
Free Entry into both Universal Orlando and Island of Adventures as well as Sea World Orlando and Busch Gardens pluuuus discounted tickets at Wet ’n Wild.
NO BLOCK OUT DATES FOR UNIVERSAL!!
FREE ENTRY FOR HARD TICKETED EVENTS!
FREE PARKING @ Universal
Greeeeaaat Team Member Discounts on Merch as well as Full Service Restaurants &&& QUICK SERVICE! (FUCK YA!)
9/10 You get to interact with some of the coolest/ nicest Team Members in the World.
So far the Management Team seem great and very helpful/ reliable to their new members!
They hold an Annual Team Member Survey just to hear what we have to say
There’s a Party Trolley?? That’s cool!
They even celebrate Mardi Gras! Awesome!
They gave me a free lunch today, so that counts! Haha..!
On top of getting recognized by your fellow Team Members at your specific location, you get to gloat about your success with a photo in the UO Newsletter &&& a personalized parking spot (if you get recognized for the month)!
PLUS, all of your recognition can actually be redeemed for real money! Now that’s what I’m talking about!
We’re all Nerds Here! While Disney has it’s fair share of Magic, I love to let my inner nerd out! Bring on the MARVEL Universe & the Harry Potter Wonderment!!!
Dislikes of Working for Universal:
Weeeell, I can’t exactly put anything here yet since I’ve only been to 1day of orientation, but I’m sure it’s going to be similar… Dumb Guest Interactions, dealing with Florida weather… Who knows..??

It may actually be because I actually worked at Disney for 6months and I am so ready to take on a new challenge, but I still love it! I wouldn’t be going back if I didn’t! That’s another thing! I hate that people complain about Disney so much! If you hate it so much, then fucking leave! I don’t wanna hear your nonsense! When you work for a theme park, especially for a place like Universal or Disney, you HAVE to be happy! Be grateful that you fucking have a job & more importantly, show that you LOVE your job! You may be having a crappy day, whether because of something personal or something work related, but that has nothing to do with the Guests. I hate when I’m working with someone who has nothing good to say about their job. Do you not realize how many thousands of people would kill for an opportunity like this??? I know I greatly appreciate my job- both of them! And I’m so glad that I’m getting to live out my dreams.
Mom keeps telling me how proud she is of me, which is the mom thing to do, of course. But what she added to that really warmed my heart. “Most people work all their lives wishing to find their dream job. And you did it right out of college.” I never thought about it until she told me, but it’s so true. I know so many people, my mother included, who are only finding their dream job in the later years of their life. So many people who say they have regrets for not pursuing their dreams… And maybe that’s why I’m so adamant about chasing my own. I know I must sound like a silly little girl, but I truly believe in chasing your dreams and following your heart. (Obviously, that’s the Disney Kid in me!) But then again, if I didn’t think like that not only would I not be a Theatre Major, or an Actress pursuing an almost impossible dream, but I wouldn’t be where I am right now.
I had dreamed of someday visiting Japan ever since I was in the 5th grade- summer 2012, I made that dream come true. The Disney College Program became a dream of mine way back during my Junior Year of High School- 5years later, I made it happen. Auditioning for FUNimation, working with renowned Anime Voice Actors- all dreams and goals I made for myself years and years ago and somehow, it all came true. Even getting to work for Universal! Although I never actually said I wanted to, I’ve wished to be a wizard since forever, and now I’ll be helping make the Wizarding World of Harry Potter come to life! There’s just so much I want to do with my life, so many goals and so many dreams… I am so grateful that at such a young age I’m already getting to see the fruit of my labors and I am more than happy to be, as my family has often told me, a “role model” for my younger brothers and cousins. 2015 was such a Magical Year and 2016 looks like it’s going to be quite an Adventure..!

Happy Chinese New Year!

Here’s to my year- The Year of the Fire Monkey!
And although I know most people don’t believe in the pseudoscience of Astrology or the sacred power of the Chinese New Year, but when it’s so accurate to my current life situation so much of the time, how can I not believe?? And so, I leave you with a little Monkey Wisdom:
“With the right blend of optimism, playfulness, dedication, and passion, you can experience amazing achievements in every area of life.”

Along with my goal of watching all and every Disney production, I decided to go ahead and join this with the Studio Ghibli films. AND SO- let us begin another series of movies to spend all my time on, haha! (^-^)
Castle in the Sky
Grave if the Fireflies

It All Started With A Mouse...

We've all heard this saying and it's something that definitely has inspired me in my everyday life. When I look at the empire that Disney has become since Walt's humble beginnings, it not only makes me appreciate what I have in life, but it gives me hope to pursue my own impossible dreams.
I grew up watching Disney movies and I watched all of the television shows. Even today, I make sure to keep an eye out for the latest Pixar Release, and I'm always up-to-date on the newest Disney Princesses coming to join the family. The wonderful world of Disney has always been near and dear to my heart, and now that I work for the company, it's even more-so. I am honored to call the Magic Kingdom my Home.
I'd like to admit that I've fallen head-over-heels for the Disney Company and as such, I've decided to take it upon myself and learn all there is to know about it. After reading my Disney Biography last year, I wanted to watch all of the original Disney Creations and really get a sense of the Disney History. And so, I began a list... And somehow, someway, I will watch every single one of Disney's works- even those Silly Symphonies that came before Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs! And the television shows that no one even knows about?? Yup, I'm gonna watch those too! Who knows how long it'll take, haha, but I'll get it done! After all, when I set my mind on something, I make it happen, no matter what. Walt was the one that taught me that...!

Journey to Disney...

~*August 6th- August 10th*~

And so my magical journey to the wonderful world of disney begins!

Road tripping with my family- moving to a new and unfamiliar home- it felt a lot like that time 4years ago when I was leaving for college. Buuuut I was obviously much more excited for this new chapter in my life...! (^w^)
The trip from San Antonio to Orlando was definitely a long one (over 20hours), but it was lots of fun. In our car we packed my mother, her boyfriend (Carlos), Carlos' daughter (Gabby), my brother (Nicky), Coraline, Kassie, and me. And thanks to technology today, I played Harvest Moon practically the whole way, haha! (( I was having withdrawals after Nicky had to take it away from me!))
What made coming to Disney even more exciting (if that's even possible) was knowing how many friends I was going to have while here! Not only would I have the opportunity to meet people from all over the US as well as the WORLD, but there just happened to be a lot of people coming from UNT! One in particular, Darian, has been a friend of mine for years and I was so excited to see him! Although he's still undecided on what he wants to do with his life, I'm always glad to hear how much fun he's having.
Besides hanging with all of the amazing peoples around me, I always love spending time with my mom and everyone. We hung out with family living here in Florida and just chilled out. Of course, when it comes to family there's always drama, but when I was with my mom and everyone was the most fun.
Everyday that I am here at Disney, making magic for all of the little ones I miss my family and even moreso- my Cora! <3 nbsp="" p="">
I can't wait till they come to visit me! I Love my family so much and miss them everyday. The few days we spent together at the start of my program were easily my favorite. I love it here at Disney, but I wish there was a way to have them experiencing it all with me.

I Put A Spell On You...

It's definitely been a good while since I've posted anything- half of the reason is because I've been so busy since I arrived in Florida, and the other half is because I have limited use of my computer..! The sad truth is that one of the boxes that got left behind in Texas, it turns out, had my computer charger!! I feel so dumb, having left it behind, but there's really nothing I can do about it from here..! So, I've been having to manage by borrowing limited charger use from my roommates, but until something gets figured out (or I decide to use the computer lab), my posts are gonna be kind of limited as well...
Anyhoos, I've been living in Florida and working at Walt Disney World for almost 2months now!! It's been full of all kinds of fun & exciting adventures- I've taken tons of photos, met lots of people, worked a whole lot, and done a whole lot of nothing/ relaxing/ randomness... so it's been nice... This post, however, isn't going to be about catching up on my life at the moment. If it wasn't obvious from the post title, it's that time of year again: when I feel the need to watch a horror/ halloween movie everyday!! 31days of Halloween Movies has begun!!!!
In honor of Magic Kingdom's Not-So-Scary Halloween parties (which includes a horrifically fabulous performance by the Sanderson Sisters) the 1st movie I decided to watch this Halloween season was Hocus Pocus! It, along with The Nightmare Before Christmas, are the only movies I watch every year during October- last year it was one of the last and this year it was the first! Maybe it's because they're Disney movies, or because I love the classic- yet original- storylines, but I just love these movies! Hocus Pocus is always a fun treat to watch and it still cracks me up every time!! It's hilarious, corny, fun, cute, and soooo 90's! Plus, Jason Marsden is the voice of Thackery Binx who is also played by a baby-faced Sean Murray (McGee from NCIS! ^-^ )!! No matter how old I get I will always love this movie! And for all you youngins that have never seen Hocus Pocus- WATCH IT!!!
Happy October!! Let the Festivities Begin!!

DCP Bucket List...

It's slowly getting closer and closer to August, so naturally I'm all over the place preparing for the big move! While looking on the Disney College Program's Blog, I found a post that included a lot of really good ideas for things to do while at the program! Most of them I already planned on doing (like eating the Kitchen Sink), but just seeing this gets me even more excited for the program to begin!! Ah! It needs to be August already!!

"1. Are you up for a challenge? Try the four park challenge in 24 hours. Visit each park and go on at least one attraction in each land.
2. Spend an entire day, open to close, at each of the parks. This will give you the opportunity to go on each ride, see every show and taste a variety of menu offerings.
3. Have at least one character dining experience.
4. Visit a moderate or deluxe Disney resort for marshmallow-roasting and a movie under the stars.
5. Go to the Magic Kingdom Park for the opening Welcome Show.
6. Watch the Wishes fireworks from inside the Magic Kingdom Park, either from one of the rides or while standing in front of the castle.
7. Go hunting for hidden Mickeys – they’re everywhere!
8. Go to the Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and try the “Kitchen Sink Challenge”.

9. Join at least one Disney VoluntEARS event. Bi-weekly trips to the Give Kids the World Village are a great way to get involved. You can sign up through the Disney Service Center.
10. Sign up for Magic Backstage events; a cast member-exclusive.
11. Sign up for at least one class or seminar offered to Disney Internships and Programs participants. World of Culture is one of the seminars that you can sign up for through the Disney Service Center.
12. Head over to Mickey’s Retreat, Walt Disney World’s private cast member recreation area, for some fun in the sun.
13. Eat around the world at Epcot, and if you’re 21 years old (or older) you can responsibly try drinks around the world too.
14. Go on a Disney cruise. You’ll get to see Mickey and his friends in their cruise attire, plus take advantage of discounted cast member rates.
15. Meet all the characters, or at least your favorites.
16. Participate in at least one Disney marathon or half-marathon.

17. Attend as many Housing events as possible.
18. Go see the Festival of the Lion King at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
19. Get selected to be the Rebel Spy on Star Tours, located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
20. Try every soft drink at Club Cool in Epcot.
21. Of course, get your picture taken with both Mickey and Minnie Mouse together.
22. Eat a turkey leg. My personal favorite snack!
23. Eat a dole whip. (Almost everyone else’s favorite snack!)
24. Go to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge at night and you’ll get to see some amazing animals with high-tech night-vision goggles.
25. On rainy days, explore the Resort Hotels. Each Resort has its own unique theme; this includes a variety of decorations and dining experiences.
26. See all of the parades and shows at each Disney Theme Park.
27. Learn about the people behind the names on the windows of Main Street, U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom Park.
28. Set up at least one meet-and-greet if you’re looking to further your career with The Walt Disney Company.
29. Make sure to take lots of pictures! You’ll never forget the time you spent here on the program, but looking back at the pictures you took will always keep those magical memories fresh.
30. Most importantly, have fun! This program will be one of the best times of your life; I know it was for me!"

Here's the link to this post- they're always posting new things for everyone and really useful tips for those participating in the program, so take a look!

Pixie Babble...

Been busy, yet, not really... I'm working on classes this summer in order to finish off my degree, thankfully all but 1of them is online! I've also been on the hunt for work, plus I've been lazying around watching Criminal Minds and other things- you know, summer stuff..!
I figured I'd make a quick post since I haven't in a while. I have plenty to post about: Movement II Field Trips, My 2nd Niece being born, Graduation, etc... So, be sure to look out for those!
Before I leave, though, I wanted to give out the link to Kassie's Blog:
I spent a good couple hours trying to create the perfect Disney Title for her until I finally came up with Pixie Babble! It came from the idea of her love of Tinkerbell and the Disney Fairies films as well as her love of Monster High. Ok, I know, how is this even remotely related to Monster High? Well, easy: Kassie mentioned wanting to title her blog something like, "The Ghostly Gossip," and from there I just looked up synonyms of "gossip" and found "babble," and by randomly putting words together in my head I came up with Pixie Babble! And, personally, I think Pixie Babble sounds absolutely adorable, so I'm glad she picked it!
Another thing I helped her with was the, I guess, slogan of her blog: "Faith, Trust, and Frying Pans!" I still laugh every time I say it..! Obviously, this combines her two favorite Disney things- Tangled and Pixie Hollow, so that one was easy.
So, if you want another blog to add to your list, visit Pixie Babble! She's been posting regularly these past couple weeks, plus she did the Disney Challenge I gave her! We'll both be covering our experience at the Disney College Program this Fall, and I can't wait!! Stay Tuned!

Pooh's Corner: DCP Character Audition...

Wow, I'm actually pretty proud of myself for keeping up with this!
Here's the 3rd video of the DCP Application Process! I had fun with this one, mainly because I got to finally have Kassie in a video! I was also super excited to show off the Pooh Bear TsumTsum she got me as an early graduation present! He's so cute! I'm also pretty proud of myself for having recorded this before midnight- see that back there? That's the sun! Wow! But, of course, it's only because I'm currently in Finals and really have nothing better to do, haha...

This video is pretty self-explanatory. What I love about the program is how they try to make everything real easy to understand. As mentioned, the audition process was very simple. Now, going in, I had completely different expectations- I had seen another video that said we would talk with the casting directors and be measured 1st, then go into the dance audition, all in a big group; however, we did things a bit backwards. I'm certain it was because there were so many applicants, they had to really divide and conquer. After signing in, Kassie and I were sent to a small dance studio with approximately 20-30 others. For the next few hours we sat around, talked, got to know each, and even played a few group games. Eventually we were taken into a larger studio to meet with the choreographer. We learned a very simple 4-step dance routine to a remix of "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride," and as soon as we were done learning, he sent for the Casting Director. She sat at the front of the room while we performed in groups of 4 across the floor. There was enough space for 3times through the steps, and when you reached the end, you had to scurry away to allow room for the next group. And that was it. After a few minutes of deliberation, the Casting Director called out some numbers- the lucky few stayed for the next round and the rest of us left. (Although I have an idea as to what happened in the following hours of the audition, having not experienced it 1st hand, I'd rather just leave it there). And this is where my DCP Character Audition Adventure ends...!
Thousands upon thousand of students across the country were trying for the few hundred spots available as a character audition, so I was totally ok with not making the cut. Honestly, I had a blast. I got to meet some cool people and geek out about Disney- what could be better?? What I do know, is at the end of my Fall Program I will totally try again!
I would also like to add, for those of you unsure whether you should try the audition or not: DO IT!! I promise you'll have a lot of fun! Also, don't be nervous. I was lucky- 2days prior to the audition I received my Acceptance Letter, so I wasn't nervous at all walking into the audition. Sure, I was a bit shy when it came to the actual performance, and of course I tripped all over myself, but I didn't care- I knew that no matter what I was going to Disney! Remember: the choreographer and casting directors are all super nice and truly want to see you succeed. And even if you screw up, just keep smiling!
The role I really want isn't a Princess, like most girls I know, but a Parade Performer. So in the next year, I'll be sure to work harder than ever at my dancing skills and trying NOT to be shy when it counts the most! (^-^)

Terrifying Threes... #tbt

My Cora turned 3years old this summer!

Although Coraline is my niece, not my child, I always think people on my Instagram assume she's my daughter. Just because I post a million photos of my Princess Coraline doesn't mean she's my kid! But, still, Cora is my absolute favorite model- she's always doing something weird/ funny/ cute & I just can't help myself! (>v<)

It's kind of become tradition for Cora to have multiple birthday celebrations- 1 in California with my Dad and the rest of our Cali familia, 1 small little celebration on her actual birthday, and then a 3rd one with my Mom and all of us in San Antonio. Guess those are the benefits of being the first grandchild!

Last year, while in California we celebrated at one of my favorite locations: Ariel's Grotto! Although it's super expensive and the selection is very limited, I still think the food is great and it's always fun to meet the princesses!

The last time we were here Suzette picked out Cora's Belle dress (since she's her mother, I guess it was ok..!) But this year it was my turn! And the best part- Cora takes after her aunty with Ariel being her favorite Disney Princess! As soon as she saw her Ariel dress she started stripping down, and was so ready to transform into a Princess!

The dress just happened to also match Suzette's hair, haha.

And, as always, I was sure to take tons of pictures of my Cora's Princess Debut (again)!

Every time we celebrate at Disneyland, I get super excited. I hope this can stay a tradition of ours! And it's funny because my dad is always saying that Suzette and I seem more excited to meet the princesses than Cora does... And, honestly, I wouldn't deny that, haha... I truly just love being able to share my passion for Disney with my Cora! She loves the Wonderful World of Disney almost as much as I do!

And continuing with the Disney Theme! This was the cute little cake my mom got Cora for her actual birthday! Although we have parties on a different day, it's always nice to have a little sweet something in honor of our day of birth!

Cora really is lucky, like me, and gets to celebrate her birthday several times over. Since my birthday is during the holidays, I usually get multiple celebrations, too, just so I can feel extra special, haha. (^-^)

For the San Antonio birthday party, Suzette and Billy wanted to celebrate in their new home! Since they had just moved into their duplex a couple months earlier, it was also their first party- what a nice way to break it in!

It was lots of fun, as always, and pretty laid back. Friends and other little ones were invited to come enjoy our home-made sweets and all the water games! I helped make a couple of our little snacks- there were so many, I wish I could put all the pictures on here! And not only were they super easy to make and really yummy, they were healthy too! These little clams were mine and everyone's favorite! They went out within the first hour!

As a person who's not into big parties and such, I always love little celebrations like these. You can relax in your natural environment and enjoy the company of your friends and family. The Harkiewiczes were able to come too! I made sure to invite them- firstly because Sarah and Cora share the same birthday (7/11)! And secondly, since little Stevie is around the same age as Cora. I really hope they enjoyed the party, because I certainly loved having them and I really hope they'll be at our future parties! I can't wait to watch Cora and Stevie grow up!! <3 <3

Pooh's Corner: DCP Application Process...

2nd Video of my Disney College Program Vlog Series: Pooh's Corner! In this video I go through the application process for joining the program, as well as address the reason behind the Vlog's Title. Here's the one thing that I forgot to put in the video about the process: It's very important to sign up EARLY! You have to remember that thousands of students are also applying all over the country and spots fill up fast! As soon as the application opens, sign up as soon as you can!
One other thing that I took out was me talking about the filming process of these videos. Basically, for the time being, I will be using my computer until I can get a proper vlogging camera, so please bear with me! And who knows, maybe I'll actually record one of these videos with natural lighting at a decent hour when I don't have to try and be quiet??

The Final Stretch...

Surprise, surprise- I haven't posted anything in MONTHS even though I said that I would... Well, here we are again, and in a different year. But most importantly, in the final months of my Senior Year at The University of North Texas!
Everyone keeps asking whether I'm excited or not- of course I am! I'm excited to finally be DONE with school! After 16years of constant schooling I am so ready to move onto the next chapter of my life! Sure, I may be scared to "grow up" and have to start doing "adult" things like paying more bills and finding a way to live on my own- but I am SO ready for something else in my life! It's been a bit difficult this past year, though, mainly because my heart just hasn't been into it. I never want to go to classes (unless they're my Theatre classes) and I hate having to do my homework. Plus I'm having to juggle all my classes (18hours) and work && labs- it's a whole lot of work & I am exhausted! There's also the added bonus of having easy access to constant distractions (Social Media & Netflix) and my distractions almost always win the battle...! (-u-)
Anyways, yes, I am excited to graduate! But what I'm even more excited for is what's happening after I graduate: DISNEY COLLEGE! After all these years of hoping & dreaming of the opportunity to participate in the Disney College Program, I made it in!!! My current roommate, Kassie, also made it- so not only will I be living the dream working at Disney World, I'll be able to experience all of the magic & wonder with one of my best friends!! The program is actually one of the main reasons why I'm back to blogging. Throughout the program I'm wanting to Vlog, so naturally having a blog going alongside the postings would be relevant. I'm not too sure how it's going to work (mainly since I've never Vlogged before) but I'll figure it out! I can't wait to get started- I actually already have the 1st video ready for my to edit & post in the upcoming week! So, here's the beginning of my Disney Vlog Journey, and the continuation of this whole "Blogging Thing" <3

Birthday Princess...

This summer, our little Coraline turned 2years old!!
HOWEVER, instead of the normal 1day celebration, this little girl got 4birthday parties! 1party was hosted by my father and celebrated with all of their friends; the second was hosted by Disneyland, the third was actually ON her birthday, and the fourth and final party was held for our immediate family.
Party #1: Dad, Jennifer, and a host of their friends celebrated with us. It was a sort-of block party, and because it was on the 4th of July, the military base had a ton of celebratory events happening. The same day, Suzette, Billy and I had also attended Anime Expo, so by the time the party had begun we were already exhausted. Even so, we had to be good party guests! At some point, I escaped the craziness and hid in an upstairs bedroom where I killed a few hours watching tv. Haha, I'm such a party animal!
The theme was Monster's University, since Cora's favorite movie is Monster's Inc. How funny that the prequel was released just before her birthday! I have yet to see it, but I've heard great reviews; besides, if Cora likes it, I'll most likely love it!
Party #1 was a crazy success! The kids and adults all had fun, && we got to watch fireworks at its conclusion! What a lucky little birthday girl!
MY favorite birthday celebration was party #2!! Dad and Jenny took us to 3days of Disneyland!!! ((No matter how old I get, Disney parks will always make me happy!)) Sadly, because we had a fussy Cora who needed nap times, we only did 3half-days, but it's better than none.
On the first day of Disney we spent most of our time in the kids area riding teacups and every little storybook ride we could find! We also did Build-a-Bear, and ate at the Rainforest Cafe' which has become a sort of tradition for our family. On the second day we ate at Ariel's Grotto for lunch, which was pretty exciting since we had never been before. They gave us a cute Belle birthday cake and  on the last day, we met a bunch of the princesses!! I'm pretty sure I was the most excited out of everyone there!!
Me & Princess Coraline!
She looked so freaking cute in her dress!!
This year's Belle,
I'm thinking Ariel for the next one??
(>w<)
Yes, I'm an Ariel fangirl!!
Princess Cora with Princess Ariel!!
She was pretty fascinated with all of the princesses
And she kept mimicking them!
Cora got to meet her Favorite Princess, Tiana!
And then Belle, Suzette's favorite!
&&&& yes, I got to meet Ariel!!! I was sooo excited!! As I said, I was the most excited!!
Coraline's 3rd birthday party was nice and little. And guess what- it was actually on her birthday! Mom just got a cupcake and a candle for Cora, she blew it out, and the end! She was officially 2!!
Cora's 4th, and final birthday, was planned by Suzette and Billy and held at their new house. This one was nice and little too: Our family came over and some of their friends. The theme was Dr. Seuss, and it was so cute!
Suzette got super excited since she was planning the party! She made green deviled eggs, and decorated the whole house in Dr. Seuss. I had fun, and it was cute watching Cora opening her gifts.
It's funny to see her reactions to everything, since she's still learning everything. And I'm excited to see her grow in the years to come!

Sincerely Yours,
Lisette Diaz

Christmas Traditions 2012

HiHi!!

And Happy Belated Christmas!!
These past few days have been so hectic,
with preparing for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day,
And getting everything ready for the New Year!
So, this is going to be another
picture heavy post
because it's just so much easier to show
everything that happened
that just talk about it!
Christmas Traditions Start on Christmas Eve for my family,
but this year was going to be a littler different.
I usually dress up, well sort of,
but I really wanted to wear my Mickey shirt,
since I had yet to.
And then I "helped" Mom bake brownies!!
Haha, eating the mix is my favorite part about baking!!
I may technically be an "adult,"
but I act like such a child!
This is the first time Mom has had a boyfriend (Jerry) during this time of year,
so we spent most of the day with their family.
He got her a new kitchenware set!
The funny thing was how excited we got over this!!
Seriously though, our kitchenware has like no lids
and some are missing handles,
so this was the most perfect gift he could have given her!
Their traditions included opening presents and doing White Elephant,
so we had a lot of fun while having a bunch of sweets!
Jerry's daughter, Demi, made these!
Brownies with Strawberries on top decorated as Christmas Trees!
They were so cute, and looked so good!
Then we all piled into the car
and headed out to start our next Christmas Traditions!
Usually, we pick up Burger King and look at the lights; however,
Burger King had a really long line,
and we were already late to the show,
so we just went without... ( ; ; )
((DJ didn't actually ride in the trunk))
This subdivision always goes all-out for Christmas!
It's always a lot of fun driving around,
trying to find the houses that won prizes!
But it's also really cool
because most of these people actually make their own decorations!
And there are also those people that put the same things out every year,
and it's really cool to say,
"Oh, hey! I remember that one!"
The benefits of having a sister working at Starbucks:
FREE SAMPLES!!
Usually we do a gift exchange with the family,
but because of financial issues,
everyone decided to just do a White Elephant.
....But I was informed of this decision a little too late...
So I had already gotten everyone their gifts!
But I didn't care
because I just love getting gifts for everyone else.
After all, this season is all about the giving, right?
Although I won't turn away any gift given to me,
I have a lot more fun seeing people's reactions when they open their gifts!
Another very important tradition:
getting new Christmas Pajamas from Mom!
This was the first year I already knew what my pajamas were,
but that was only because I was with Mom went she bought them.
Haha, but she picked out the shirt
and I love it!
((For some reason, I've been wearing a LOT of pink this year!))
This was my Christmas present for Mom.
Mom loves and collects Precious Moments items,
and when I saw this collection on the Disney Store last year,
I knew exactly what I was going to get her!!
Ariel is, of course, my favorite Disney Princess,
so she was the first one from last year.
This year, we added Mulan to the train
since she's Mom's favorite!
even though Mulan isn't a technical Disney Princess, but whatever
By the way, the numbers are supposed to represent birthdays!
Haha, the collection is actually a birthday train;
nevertheless, we love them, so it doesn't matter!
Waking Coraline up early to open presents!
Haha, she doesn't look too happy!
Christmas Morning!!
The tree is being bombarded with presents!
And most of them are for Coraline!
(^w^)
Cora found her BABY and she looks so HAPPY!!!
Apparently, Brave is one of her current favorites!
We also had to get her a stroller
because she was always trying to move the chairs around the house!
The Best Present of theYear Award goes to:
Mom!!
She got Cora her jungle gym,
and she just wouldn't stop climbing all over it!
Cora left the jungle gym long enough
to open a few other gifts.
I picked out this ADORABLE Monster hat and slippers set from Old Navy!
Her baby room theme is Dinosaurs/Monsters,
and she's always going around growling,
so it was too perfect!
Suzette got a flute for Christmas so she can start learning,
and apparently Cora wants to learn too!
Coraline Figuring out New Ways of getting In
Without having to go through the door...
I think she's having too much fun!
She was eventually able to grab her Mommy inside with her!
They're so cute together!!
Christmas morning is always a lot of fun,
that is, until you have to clean up everything...
(-u-)
One of my Christmas Gifts:
Miku Hatsune Hobo Bag from Hot Topic!!!
I didn't even know this EXISTED,
so when I opened it,
I got so excited!!!
I'm not really big into Vocaloid,
but I love the characters and I have been trying to get more into it!
Mom said while she was shopping,
she saw the bag and thought of me!
Haha, she said the Chibi Hatsune looked just like me!!
minus the blueish hair!
(>w<)
These are the most AMAZING socks EVER!
Super comfy and cozy Eeyore knitted socks!!
I've been wearing them everyday!
Here's everything I got this year!
The annual- stuffed animal, slippers, scarfs, jewelry, and Bath & Body Works.
But this year also included:
Rice Cooker, How To Train Your Dragon special edition DVD, LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7, the newest Victorious soundtrack, The Titan's Curse
and The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
It was a really good haul, I'm so happy with everything!
I love my mom, she's just so amazing!!!
Nicky wearing his freaking awesome
reversible Jack hat from Hot Topic!
Jerry and his family over to open their presents.
((They're actually all younger than me, even though they're really tall!)
Aaw, cute!
I'm so happy for my mom,
I really hope this works out!
That night we had dinner at Mimi's house.
((Mom's best friend))
So, we all got dressed up for the party!!
She was looking so adorable I wanted to take a million photos,
BUT SHE KEPT MOVING AND TRYING TO ATTACK ME!
(( ; >o< ))
Even though I didn't know anyone at the party,
I was having too much fun stalking Cora
and her adorable little self
in her new Christmas Dress!
\(^o^)/
The next day,
I finally got to meet the newest edition to the Harkiewicz Clan!!
Stephanie's little Stevie is such an adorable baby!
It was so great to see Sarah and Sam after so long!
I've missed all my Harkiewiczeseessssessss!!
(ToT)
I love just being at their house and catching up on current events!!
Teehee,
Stevie is so cute!!
Steph's going to make a great Mommy!
I'm so proud of her!
I got Cora to watch
How To Train Your Dragon!
....haha, banana...
I think she's tired of my playing paparazzi,
haha....
And then we ended the night with my
victory in an intense game of Chinese Checkers!

Well, I'm glad to have been able to squeeze this update in!
Family gets here tomorrow,
so I don't really know when I'll next be able to post.
But before I go:
No matter how you celebrate this Holiday season,
I hope you were all able to spend time making memories
with all of your friends and family!!!!
Till Next Time:
Remember to KEEP IT GENKI!!
